别了。晨光。
你不知我是谁，
我却与你有多年交往。
我无权支配时光。
能任我支配的，
只有我书房的灯光。
深夜。人们去了梦乡。
所有逝去的英灵，
都依附我身上。
英灵给我奇思妙想。
一项一项的发明，
产生于静静的晚上。
黑夜不再漫长，
白天也越来越短，
我不再辜负卧室的宽床。

作者言：国外试验发现：人死时，大脑重量减轻。减少的重量，是什么？未知。于是，基于投胎转世传说，科学家就把减轻的大脑重量命名为“玄子”，即灵魂。并由此推论：灵魂、魂魄，是客观存在的。
如果有灵魂存在，就会在空中飘荡。白天忙碌的人多，深夜忙碌的人少，深夜工作，接收“玄子”的几率就增大。
我的发明，都是在深夜完成的。有些发明，是在梦中完成的。所以，我喜欢通宵工作，天亮再上床。但是，死党们，亲友们，都要求我正常作息。为此，我试验了一年。最后决定，凌晨4点左右睡觉。从此，也就告别晨光了。
