莎拉 · 特雷弗 · 蒂斯黛尔（Sara Trevor Teasdale，1884年8月8日—1933年1月29日），是美国的一位杰出的抒情诗人。 1918年美国诗协会年度诗人奖，哥伦比亚大学诗协会奖(普利策诗歌奖前身)的获得者，是美国20世纪初期最有迷人魅力的抒情诗人之一。
      当人们以高分贝喊响她的前辈诗人Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Walt Whiteman时，她基本上不被人们记起；而当同时代的骄子William Carlos Williams横空出世，光耀盖人，使她更是像黯淡的小星星。同辈像Ezra Pound, Marianne Moore, Thomas Stearns Eliot在学术界中也比她更加滋润鲜活，文学史上厚实的评述让他们灿烂无比。或许她的生命旅程结束得过早，她本应属于人类的才情与同她的生活志趣、更好的诗篇也随之湮没。

心思、心想、... ... 当我要她们出来，出来亮相，               
To walk like ladies up and down,                  
要她们穿上、戴上、最美的、最美的靓装，      
Each one puts on before the glass               
她们呀，像些仕女，对着镜子，遴遴选选，     
Her most becoming hat and gown.              
看呐，踮着步子——前前后后，后后前前。      

But oh, the shy and eager thoughts      
呦——羞思，嘘——还有欲想，                                
That hide and will not get them dressed,                    d )               
溜啦，溜啦，是呀，她们想不着装；
Why is it that they always seem                              b. c）                              
啊——不着装呀不着装，羞思啊欲想，怎么总是呢，

a.    读过小诗，感觉笔者仿佛既是诗人又是哲人，原作虽看似笔调纠结、质疑，但既立意为诗，主题取向似乎已不言而喻，即：雷同我国世事皆有共性、特性，当取道法自然，实事求是，作而不辞，无为而为，... ... 等禅哲理念处之为宜
b.    引出从属句，与 it 同位
c.    指代 will not get them dressed
d.    此处词义：也就是/即，引出同位语
